Shelter Services

  • 17,955 shelter days
  • 222 women & 288 children; 510 total clients
  • 129,363 meals and snacks
  • 20,293 hours of structured childcare
  • 1,209 hours of case management
  • 40 Parenting skills classes
  • Residential women and children received 75 hours of individual therapeutic counseling
  • 1,273 hours of support groups for shelter residents
  • Children went on 8 field trips within our community
  • 65 women attended violence/abuse prevention education workshops
  • 118 women participated in the 25% of income savings program during their stay
  • Children received 165 hours of academic tutoring

Non-Residential Victim Assistance

  • 154 crisis accompaniments for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault
  • Assisted 6,986 persons through our 24-hour hotline
  • Assisted 27 women in obtaining Protective Orders
  • Assisted 23 women in obtaining Crime Victim’s Compensation
  • Non-Residential women and children received 734 hours individual therapeutic counseling/therapy
  • 524 hours of support groups offered to 61 clients
  • 152 anti-victimization workshops in area schools and youth organizations reaching 3,269 students

Self-Reliance Program (SRP) After Shelter Care

  • 9 clients enrolled in GED classes
  • 44 clients obtained employment
  • 14 clients enrolled in vocational training
  • 3 clients enrolled in college
  • 100% of clients reported an increase of their knowledge base of marketing and job search skills
  • 117 clients received individual job assessment/counseling
  • 40 Assertiveness classes given to 68 clients for a total of 258 hours
  • 115 hours of job search readiness classes
  • 532 Follow-Up face to face
  • 173 Follow-up phone calls
  • 309 SRP Participants
  • 106 Home visits
